Roger Mooking, formerly DJ Mystic of the 90s Toronto hip-hop band Bass is Base, and now executive chef at Toronto hotspot Kultura, and the newly opened Nyood on Queen Street West in Toronto, is recording a new full-length solo album, which will come out sometime in September 2008.

Roger’s vocal abilities are amazing. He had me come down to Homework Studios, where I laid down acoustic guitar tracks on two of his new songs. I’ll fill you in with more details as the project progresses. This album will co-incide with a new Food Television show called “Everyday Exotic”, which Roger will be hosting in the fall.

   Everyday Exotic is a delightful show on the Food Network. I try not to miss Roger Mooking’s fun, fresh and very exotic recipes. Wonderful Caribbean dishes. Not to mention his music during and end of the show.
